The John J. McGuirk Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic provides general internal medical care. This includes care for immediate and chronic health concerns, preventive medical care, physical exams, diagnostic laboratory testing, general X-rays and limited immediate pharmacy services.

ADVANTAGES

Veterans will have one primary care provider to coordinate care on an ongoing basis.
Veterans can receive primary medical care closer to home.
Veterans will still be eligible for specialty outpatient care, inpatient care and all other entitlements through the West Haven or Newington Campuses.

DIRECTIONS:
From the south: Take I-95 Exit 83 toward Norwich/CT-32/Downtown/New London. Stay straight to go onto Huntington Street. Turn right onto Jay Street which will become Truman Street. Turn left onto Blinman Street. Blinman Street becomes Howard Street. Turn right onto Hamilton Street. Turn right onto Shaw’s Cove.

From Hartford: Merge onto I-84 East/US-6 East. Merge onto CT-2 East via Exit 55 toward Norwich/New London. Keep right to take CT-11 South via Exit 19 toward New London. Take the CT-82 Exit 4 toward Salem/Hadlyme. Turn left onto East Haddam Road/CT-82. Turn right onto New London Road/CT-85. Continue to follow CT-85 South. Merge onto I-95 North via the ramp on the left toward New London. Take Exit 83 toward Norwich/CT-32/Downtown/New London. Stay straight to go onto Huntington Street. Turn right onto Jay Street which will become Truman Street. Turn left onto Blinman Street. Blinman Street becomes Howard Street. Turn right onto Hamilton Street. Turn right onto Shaw’s Cove.
