About the VA Connecticut Healthcare System

VA Connecticut encompasses an inpatient facility and Ambulatory Care Center in West Haven; an Ambulatory Care Center in Newington; and six primary care Community Based Outpatient Clinics:

Community Care

The West Haven Annex and the Errera Community Care Center provide a continuum of  psychosocial, medical and educational services that range from acute to long-term rehabilitation and includes job training. Services provided include crisis intervention, housing, case management, education/skills training, recreation/creative arts therapy and vocational rehabilitation.

These affiliations allow VA Connecticut to participate in the education and training of more than 675 physicians and dentists each year. Affiliations with more than 150 additional schools allow VA Connecticut to train more than 685 students in allied health disciplines such as nursing, X-ray, pharmacy, physical/occupational therapy, social work, laboratory and nuclear medicine.
