Diabetes Self Management Education
Time: 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM (EST)
Location: West Haven campus, building 2, 1rst floor, room 1-300
Learn tips and tricks to control your blood sugars and manage your diabetes.
The American Diabetes Association (ADA) states that education is a form of treatment for diabetes.  The more you understand about what is happening in your body, the better control you will have.  This is a four week series; attend all four weeks or pick and choose:
Week 1 - General Diabetes Overview
Week 2 - Nutrition - Eating the Right Foods
Week 3 - Benefits of Exercise/Managing Stress and Depression/Take Care of Your Eyes
Week 4 - Medication Overview/Problem Solving/Setting Goals
Week 5 - No classes if there is a 5th Thursday in the month.
