COVID-19 Update (March 17)

WEST HAVEN, Conn. — VA Connecticut Healthcare System advises veterans to call before visiting any of our facilities, even if you have an appointment. Contact the Call Center at 866-808-7921. Veterans using MyHealtheVet can send their provider a secure message. By calling or messaging first, veterans can get instructions on whether to report to the facility and may be eligible to receive care via telehealth.
We continue respiratory screenings for everyone at designated entrances at our main campuses:
- West Haven campus – Bldg. 2 (main lobby) and Bldg. 7 (weekdays 6am-5pm only)
- Newington campus – Bldg. 2E (main lobby) and Urgent Care
Effective immediately, we have implemented the following:
- Visiting hours are 1-3pm in 30-minute increments or less.
- No one under 18-years-old will be permitted at the community clinics, Newington campus, West Haven campus or Errera Center.
- Pharmacy window service will be for emergency medication only. All other medication will be mailed out.
- Valet parking at the West Haven campus is suspended. Parking attendants will be available to direct vehicles.
Only patients with appointments or those with official business should be on campus or at a clinic.
