Veterans Advisory Board to host public forum Dec. 10 at Camp Niantic
CAMP NIANTIC, Conn. – The Connecticut Community Veterans Engagement Board will host a public forum on Thursday, Dec. 10 from 6-9pm at the Camp Niantic auditorium, 38 Smith Street, Niantic, open to all veterans, family members, caregivers, veteran service organizations and members of the public. The purpose is to provide the veteran community with the opportunity to provide feedback, recommendations and an open dialogue on veteran’s issues here in Connecticut.
The Community Veterans Engagement Board is comprised of community leaders with the goal of improving connections between those who provide services to veterans; to leverage collective networks and knowledge to resolve community-specific issues; and to eliminate local barriers to the delivery of services to veterans while improving outcomes.
Information tables and representatives will be available from a host of agencies – federal, state, local and nonprofit –that provide services to veterans and their family members.
Attendees are welcome to stay for the entire forum or to drop in.
