VA Connecticut to host Mental Health Summit

West Haven – VA Connecticut Healthcare System will host a Mental Health Summit on Thursday, Sept. 12 at the Savin Rock Conference Center, 6 Rock Street, West Haven from 8:30am to 12:30pm.  The purpose of the summit is to bring together key stakeholders in the community with the goal of enhancing access to mental health services and addressing the mental health care needs of veterans and their family members.

Sessions will include:

  • Outreach/Engagement
  • Implementing Recovery Principles
  • Meeting the needs of family members
  • Coordination of mental health services
  • Veterans Justice Outreach (VJO)
  • Community collaborators
  • Special populations

Key stakeholders invited to the summit include community mental health providers, veteran service organizations, veteran family members/caregivers and community organizations.
