Location: Newington Campus, Building 1, 4th floor conference room
 
 Yoga for Health and Wellness is a weekly gentle, mindfulness-based yoga offered at VACT Newington campus.  This walk-in class is open to all veterans receiving care at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System.
  • no referral needed
  • class size limited to 20 participants and doors close after that
  • participation is on a 'first come, first serve' basis
  • no prior Yoga experience needed
  • Classes held weekly EVERY WEDNESDAY 11:00-12:15

Diabetes Self Management Education Class Series
 
Classes meet the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Thursday of each month.
Week one - General Diabetes Overview - PowerPoint presentation with group discussion
Week two - Nutrition - Eat the Right Foods
Week three - Benefits of Exercise & Diabetes and Eye Health
Week four - Medication Overview for Diabetes & How to Solve Problems
If there is a fifth Thursday in the month, there is no class
No consult needed, walk ins welcome.

NOTE:  If there is a 5th Thursday in the month, there is NO Diabetes class.
